Mark Francois joins Parliament’s Veterans to support the Armed Forces

Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, and Minister of State for the Armed Forces, joined around 30 other MPs, all of whom had either served or continue to serve in our Armed Forces, to take part in an act of Remembrance ahead of Sunday’s official national commemorations.

MP meets Royal Anglian Regiment cadets on visit to Haileybury School

Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford and Armed Forces Minister, recently met a group of Royal Anglian Regiment cadets when he visited Haileybury School in Hertfordshire. During the visit Mark officially opened a replica First World War trench, to honour the 2,825 staff and pupils of the school who served during the war, many of whom lost their lives on the Western Front.

Mark Francois MP supports In/Out Referendum Bill

Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, today demonstrated his support for an In/Out referendum on Europe by voting in the House of Commons for the European Union (Referendum) Bill, which is designed to ensure the British people get a vote on Europe during the next Parliament.

 Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, has welcomed today’s announcement by the Airport Commission that they have effectively ruled out a new major airport in the Thames Estuary as an option for expanding the UK’s airport capacity.
