A South Essex MP has praised improvements at a local primary school, following a recent
visit.
Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, spent a Friday lunchtime going to see Glebe
Primary School, near Rayleigh station.
Following a tour of the school, including new classrooms and other facilities and also
viewing a number of lessons in progress, Mark congratulated headteacher Martyn Clarke on
achieving a ‘Good’ rating in all categories.
Speaking about his visit, Mark said:
“I last visited Glebe Primary School prior to the Covid pandemic and the school certainly
looks a lot brighter and airy than before. It has also achieved a much improved OFSTED,
being rated ‘Good’ in all categories, for which I congratulated Mr Clarke and his team. I
wish the school all the best for the future.”
