A South Essex MP stopped by a local small business to congratulate them on their third anniversary of operating on the High Street.
Rayleigh & Wickford MP, Mark Francois, dropped in to “The Geek Shop”, on Wickford High Street, to congratulate the owner, Paul Edwards, on this important anniversary. Mark was supported in this task by Wickford County Councillor, Tony Ball.
The Geek Shop, which Paul founded several years ago, but moved to a premises on Wickford High Street three years ago, sells a variety of items, from Star Wars models and modern Lego, to Pokémon.
Congratulating Paul on his achievement, Mark said:
“Paul has done a lot to boost business in Wickford, including his previous service as chairman of the Wickford Business Improvement District (BID), so I wanted to make a point of helping him mark his third anniversary on the High Street. My wife, Olivia, is a keen Lego modeler in her spare time, so I also took the opportunity to buy something for her, while I was there. I wish Paul and his very successful ‘geeky’ business all the very best for the future.”
