Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, met with students from The FitzWimarc School, Rayleigh, in the Houses of Parliament, during their recent visit to Westminster.
The students had been visiting both the Commons and Lords Chambers. At the end of their tour, they attended the Houses of Parliament Education Centre, to cap off their visit with a mock election and to hear from Mark (who arrived just in time to witness the tail-end of their election “hustings”).
Mark shared his experiences and insights with his young constituents as both their Member of Parliament and Shadow Defence Minister. Mark then took questions from the eager students, on a variety of topics, including defence, the environment and the proposed rebuild of FitzWimarc School (which he very much supports).
Commenting on the visit by FitzWimarc School, Mark said:
“It was a pleasure to host a group of pupils from FitzWimarc on their recent visit to Westminster. They were a lively bunch and asked some very good questions. I wish them all the best for the future, including for the rebuild of their popular school.”
