Minister relives time in the infantry on visit to the Royal Marines

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP and Armed Forces Minister, Mark Francois, who served in the TA during the Cold War, had an opportunity to relearn his infantry skills when he participated in a house-clearing exercise during a recent visit to the Royal Marines.  

Mark Francois MP supports proposal to expand Abacus Primary School in Wickford

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, has given his formal support to a recent proposal by Abacus Primary School to expand its intake of students from 45 per year to 60 per year over the next few years. To comply with educational requirements, the school recently issued the consultation document on its proposed expansion in numbers and, having read this, Mark replied to the school to give his formal endorsement as the local MP.  

Mark Francois attends Troops’ Post Afghanistan Homecoming Parade

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP and Armed Forces Minister, Mark Francois, recently attended a special parade in Westminster when elements of the last combat troops to leave Afghanistan marched through Carriage Gates and into Westminster Hall, to be thanked by MPs for their service in that conflict.  

Mark Francois MP signs Holocaust Educational Trust Book of Commitment

  Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, yesterday signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment on Holocaust Memorial Day (Tuesday 27th January), in doing so he pledged his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who were murdered during the Holocaust, (as well as paying tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people).
