Minister lays wreath to commemorate D-Day anniversary

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, who also holds the role of Minister for Portsmouth as part of his responsibilities as Minister of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government, visited the city recently and laid a wreath during a special D-Day commemorative service which took place on 6th June.  

Armed Forces Minister encourages Pimlico Plumbers to support our veterans

Armed Forces Minister and Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, recently visited the well known London services company Pimlico Plumbers, at their base in Bermondsey, where he discussed the possibility of the company signing up to the Corporate Covenant scheme, to support service personnel, their families and veterans.

Minister relives time in the infantry on visit to the Royal Marines

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP and Armed Forces Minister, Mark Francois, who served in the TA during the Cold War, had an opportunity to relearn his infantry skills when he participated in a house-clearing exercise during a recent visit to the Royal Marines.  

Mark Francois MP supports proposal to expand Abacus Primary School in Wickford

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, has given his formal support to a recent proposal by Abacus Primary School to expand its intake of students from 45 per year to 60 per year over the next few years. To comply with educational requirements, the school recently issued the consultation document on its proposed expansion in numbers and, having read this, Mark replied to the school to give his formal endorsement as the local MP.
