MP meets Joseph and cast at FitzWimarc show

Rayleigh and Wickford MP joined a host of parents at Fitzwimarc School recently to see the school’s very lively production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.  The show, which had Felix Summers, aged 13, in the lead role, played for four nights and Mark attended on the final evening along with Headteacher, Mr Robert Harris. 

MP Joins Air Cadets for their 75th Anniversary

Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois recently joined 1476 (Rayleigh) Squadron for a special dinner to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Air Training Corps in WWII.

MP praises scout facilities during visit to Belchamps

Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, was impressed during a recent visit to Belchamps Scout Camp in Hawkwell by the wide range of facilities made available their by the Scout Camp movement. Mark praised the organisers for their ability to lay on so many interesting activities for Scouts from Essex and from much further afield, not only camping but also activities such as climbing, archery and even an assault course.

MP welcomes Basildon Council's decision to approve new GP surgery in Wickford

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, has welcomed the news that the Basildon Council Planning Committee have approved a planning application, submitted by Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group, for a brand new two story GP surgery on the old Wickford Market site, in Wickford, which would replace the current London Road doctors surgery.  

MP supports Halcyon Park open day

  Local MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, Mark Francois, recently spent time visiting Halcyon Park, Hullbridge, who were holding an open day for visitors.  

MP meets new One Response 24hr Advice Service at St Luke’s Hospice

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois, recently met the new One Response Team, who provide 24hr support and advice for carers dealing with patients who are in their last years of life, when he visited their base at St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon recently. The new team mans the phones 24hrs a day, 365 days a year and helps to provide support for anyone diagnosed with palliative or end of life care needs in the lasts year of life, including people with advanced dementia.  

Mark Francois MP visits FitzWimarc to back Sixth Form bid

  Rayleigh and Wickford MP Mark Francois recently visited FitzWimarc School in Rayleigh and held a meeting with Headteacher, Mr Robert Harris, to discuss the school’s plans to establish a new Sixth Form, which they hope to open in the autumn of 2016.
